Our long-term programme for Year 11 or 12 students. Two to Three years of structured guidance, academic tutoring, and full admissions support — so that when it matters most, you’ll be ready and well ahead of the pack.

The students who are best prepared for competitive Australian universities and residential colleges are those who start early. The Orbis Pathways Programme is our most forward-thinking package; a structured, multi-year programme that begins in Year 11 or 12 and provides continuous guidance, academic support, and admissions preparation through to the end of Year 13.

This is not a single consultation or a one-off information session. It is a sustained partnership between your family and the Orbis team, designed to ensure that every decision you make — from subject selection to extracurricular commitments to application timing — is made with intention and expert guidance.

Pathway - Year 11 Entry

Year 11 — Foundation (3 consultations)

In Year 11, the focus is on building a strong foundation. You will receive two private consultations covering general advice on studying in Australia, an introduction to the admissions landscape, and most importantly, strategic subject planning. We work with each student to evaluate their potential degree pathways and preferred university locations, then advise on subject choices that will optimise their ATAR conversion and keep the widest range of options open.

Year 12 — Development (3 consultations + 8 hours of academic tutoring)

In Year 12, the focus shifts to academic performance and progress. You will receive two consultations centred on progress reviews — assessing how your academic trajectory aligns with your target universities and courses, and making adjustments where necessary. Alongside these consultations, you will receive eight hours of one-on-one academic tutoring from an Orbis tutor who has achieved outstanding results in the relevant subject. This tutoring is designed to sharpen performance at the most critical stage of your secondary education.

Year 13 — Admissions (Full University + Residential College Package)

In Year 13, you receives the full University + Residential College Package at maximum consultation allocations. This covers every aspect of the admissions process — ATAR conversion, university applications, course selection, residential college applications, personal statement refinement, interview coaching, and practical preparation for the move to Australia. By this stage, you will have been working with Orbis for two years and will enter the application process with a level of preparation that is simply unmatched.

Pathway - Year 12 Entry

Year 12 — Guidance and Academic Support (3 consultations + 8 hours of academic tutoring)

In Year 12, you will receive three private consultations. These sessions cover general advice on studying in Australia, strategic subject and course planning based on your target universities and degree pathways, and an assessment of your current academic trajectory. The focus is on ensuring you are positioned as competitively as possible heading into your final year.

Alongside these consultations, you will receives eight hours of one-on-one academic tutoring from a high-achieving Orbis tutor. This targeted support is designed to improve performance in key subjects during the year that matters most for ATAR outcomes.

Year 13 — Admissions (Full University + Residential College Package)

In Year 13, you receive the full University + Residential College Package at maximum consultation allocations — covering ATAR conversion, university applications, course selection, residential college applications, personal statement support, interview coaching, and practical preparation for the move to Australia. Having worked with Orbis throughout Year 12, you’ll enter the application process with strong academic foundations and a clear strategy.

Why Pathways?

The difference between a student who begins preparing in Year 13 and one who has been guided since Year 11 is significant. Subject choices made in Year 11 directly affect ATAR conversion. Academic performance in Year 12 determines what doors are open. And the confidence that comes from two years of structured mentorship means you approach applications, interviews, and the transition to Australia with clarity and composure.

Orbis Pathways is designed for families who want to give their child every possible advantage — not at the last minute, but from the very beginning.
